Haydar Gildil is Turkish arm wrestling athlete who brought the first gold medal to his country.
He was born in 1966 in Mudanya. He is the champion of Turkey in the 70 kg category in 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992. He finished 4th at the 1988 and 1989 World Championships. In 1991, he won the first world championship for Turkey by being the 1st at the World Championships held in Israel. In 1992, he became the world champion in the 65 kg category in 1993.
